Greetings - just got an EVO last month, after having a palm for a LONG time (PDA in 1997 then PalmOS Smartphones since 2004).

Unfortunately, I didn't need a portable movie player / videoconferencing toy. Just need a good business smartphone - and my Treo's OS (security cert) limitations wouldn't let it connect to my new employer's email system.

So far, I feel like it's back in the early days of Palm all over again - lots of 3rd party apps, and you have to figure out what works for you. Kind of fun.

But at the same time, Android OS still seems to be missing a lot of the core connections that were there on the PalmOS from day one - integration between key efficiency apps - email/calendar/tasks/contacts. So migrating from Palm has been a bit of a struggle - but I'm making it work.

    Wish me luck!
