    Good afternoon.

Can't seem to root this bloody phone, as much as i try..no..decides not to!
using Unrevoked seems to get stuck on the "Waiting for root" i've left it for a good hour before admitting defeat. i must say i have done the downgrade already.

Now, if i try put another ROM on without rooting the previous i get this message.

Anybody know how i can sort this out? Clockwork was installed by revolutionary if that matters.

i will link this thread in the desire forum, just because thats what i have and as far as i can figure, this problem aint specific to the wildfire..is it?

    Hey dude

Erm I cant say i know how to resolve the problem because ive never seem it ever.
Here's a check list (if your Wildfire's Hboot is 1.01.002)
    1) Gold-carded SD card using Gold Card tool
    2) Downgrade Hboot to 1.01.001
    3) Obtain S-OFF using Alpharevx or Revolutionary (same difference)
    4) Downgrade OS to Android 2.1 from 2.2 or 2.2.1 using RUU
    5) Root using unrEVOked

You should be fine if those are all ticked of but use this link here from XDA Developers, it might help with your problem

    Good Luck
