Root Another question on ROMs and hotspot

I've looked and haven't found the answer....

...when the hotspot is being used, say for the pc or tv or bluray or whatever and you get a call or text or email, does the phone ring or notify you?

The reason I ask is because I would like to cancel my cricKet account, I am using their Crosswave hotspot and now that I am rooted with the evo I would like to use the evo for my main home internet use.

I don't get online to much at home but I just need to make sure that I will not miss any calls/emails/texts from work or anyone else.

using Mik3d b1 for now with stock kernel
had GM1.1 and v6 but was having problems with them(it may have been the live wallpaper).

Yes, the call screen should pop up. What hotspot are you planning to use? I'm using open garden, and barnacle (I swap them out, for no real reason). Both are good.

I've been using the Wireless Tether app.

The phone has to be in another room for me to get a good signal, that's why I'm asking if it rings or makes notification sounds while I'm online.
