Do you need an antivirus with Android? Will it slow down my system?
Download the Forums for Android™ app!
No, and yes. It has also reportedly wiped all of your SMS messages.
So by yes do you mean you can get viruses?
The word is that antivirus software sold or free in the Market is actually spyware.
No, you don't need it. Yes, it will slow down your phone. Android is very secure, and it would be pretty hard to get an actual virus, unless someone wrote it into an app that you install from a 3rd party (not from market). The chances of getting a virus after rooting increases, but not significantly.
Cool, thanks guys. I figured it would be a waste.
ANDROID PHONES DO NOT NEED ANTIVIRUS APPS! My phone is proof that they hinder, not help.
Probably wiped all his SMS messages, like I said earler.
The HTC Droid Incredible release date was April 2010. Features and Specs include a 3.7" inch screen, 8MP camera, Snapdragon S1 processor, and 1300mAh battery.
