Any complaints about white S3 ?

Hi,
I'm getting an s3 some time in september(might get a galaxy nexus but I'm most likely getting an s3) and I don't know if I should get the white one.My phones have always been black/dark so I decided to give white a try specially that I don't really like the blue 1 and the black one may not be available in my country till october but I heard that the white s3 can discolor by time or turn yellowish.I also heard that the capacitive buttons and the LED light bleed into the screen,is it true ? I will use a black case(black case+white phone=sexy :p) and a screen protector with it but I still might use it naked sometimes.

The capacitive lights and led notification light do bleed on the white model. Just got mine 2 days ago. Wife has the blue and it does not bleed. The bleed turned me off at first, but now I see it as a cool "halo" effect :p

I don't care if it bleeds only on the body but does it bleed to the screen ? like it affects the display in anyway ?

But not of the S3 ;)

Hardware wise no, but a nexus is a nexus. No touchwiz, motoblur, sense, ect to weigh it down and fast upgrades to boot.

If youre more concerned about being on the latest software than having the greatest hardware, the nexus wins.

Its all about your preferences.

1) Any white device has rumors that it will yellow over time- iPhone, Galaxy S3, you name it. I think it's still too early to say if this is the case or not. But mine is still white.

2) I have no issues with the LED/capacitive buttons bleeding into the screen.

3) The LED/capacitive buttons bleed/give a halo effect when on through the white body, but too me it looks cool and not cheap or defective.

Nexus is still a great phone. It was my 1st choice before I lean towards the s3 because I need the bigger battery, better camera and louder speaker volume(the bigger screen is welcome too).I don't really care about it being a quad core after jelly bean was released to the nexus.
For the color,I think I will see how both look and feel in reality 1st then decide but for now,I think white is the best as long as there aren't any problems with it as you guys say :) I will only get the nexus if I just decided to save money but that won't likely happen :p

The s3 has been unlocked you can now put aosp on it.

Yes, you can, but there is a difference between being able to put AOSP on it like you can with the S3 or the EVO 4G LTE and having AOSP run perfectly.

AOSP on the nexus just works, exactly the way google intended it to

Yeah,AOSP ROMs on non-nexus phones will always have bugs specially for phones with propriety chips like samsung's exynos.OMAP is much better to develop on.I hope next nexus will have exynos 4/5 to help devs make more stable ROMs for s3/s2/note/note 2.

I had the white S3 at first and yes it does bleed...Especially the notification.

Also the back cover is prone to hairline scratches, where as the Blue doesn't show as much.

Overall I liked the white one, but just felt the Blue was much sharper and professional, and didn't have that awful bleeding notification and soft key issue that the white one has.

Go ahead and get the white. I did the same thing you did. It was my first white phone also. I put a thin, hard black case on it (Ringke) just for some extra grip because I like naked phones and rarely drop mine. It looks great with that black/white combo.

I have blue, my wife has the white. The silver sides of hers has chipped or rubbed off on several parts. She never dropped it, we think it is from rubbing in her pocket and/or purse. A lot of others have complained about the same issue.

Find it interesting that the wear patterns would be different between white/blue. In my case (pardon the pun), I wouldn't even notice due to my incipio case. :)

I have both the white and the blue phones so I have compared them in almost every way.
The white phone does have a halo effect around the capacitive buttons, but no noticable light bleed on the screen, and the only reason that the white back appears to have more scratches than the blue is because of the smooth shiny finish of the white model vs the rougher textured finish of the blue model. As for the white phone becoming discolored, I can't imagine why it would. Samsung has made several white phones by now, and neither my white Note, nor my white S3 have encountered any discoloration. I will add though, that the white version of the S3 is an off white to start with (marble white), so that it never appears as stark, bright white to begin with. I go back and forth on which color is my favorite. I love them both.

Timely updates as long as its not a VZW version of the Nexus. Took 6 months to get 4.0.4 and will probably be another 6 to get JB. But now I have a GS3 too. So Im loving it atm.
