Unfortunately, there are still Development issues regarding the bootloader now that the handset has ICS. There are some working recoveries for Gingerbread, but ICS development is a bit slow with this device ;(. It is frustrating yes but there are many tweaks/settings to help get the most out of your device, I'll be adding some on here shortly.
