I'm am curious as to what the application you are looking does?

I'm a self described soccer nut (at least by American standard; GO WEST HAM).
This sounds interesting but a small description would be appreciated.

I think what they are looking for, and what I would like too, is a game that puts you in the manager's position. You scout prospects, hire players, set up the lineups, do substitutions during simulated games, (or even call plays for American football.), assign off-season training to players, etc. I had one years ago on my Amiga that put you in charge of a team in the UK Football (Soccer to us Yanks) leagues. It was all text based, but pretty nice.

Am I right?

That's exactly it.
You can get them for some of the emulators, but not found one yet on Android.

I just did a search on AppBrain and found two Soccer ones. The reviews for them aren't very good though. One is "Manage Your Football Club", and the other is "Kick it out! Soccer Manager". The second one is free, but there are paid add-ons. If the first one had a free trial, I would try it out, but the reviews are enough to make me not want to pay up front.

So, any developers want to step up to the plate and take on a challenge? :D

I bought "Manage Your Football Club". It's no Football Manager, but of course it never could be. It was OK, but it has annoying click sounds when you tap anywhere that drove me nuts, why would you not make these optional?! Also the data wasn't great - England only, and very sketchy - the Liverpool squad had Dossena (nope, he left months ago) as right-back (nope, he's left-back) and good, better than Johnson (nope, he's rubbish).

LOL, I had one on my A500+ too ... I missed that game, ChampionShip Manager 93 if I am not mistaken. I found an .ADF for it, the correct kickstart rom, WinUAE and played it! Now, I have tried to use the Android emulator for Amiga (UAE4Droid) but unfortunately that game won't start :(

Pocket League Story was a lot of fun. Careful not to play it if you have a deadline approaching, Kairosoft games have a tendency to warp the passage of time without warning.

Championship Manager?

Hi guys my recommendation is to play THE best football management game on ANY platform - Football Manager!

I've been playing this on my android tab for over a year now and I'm surprisedmore people aren't doing this.

I'll post a link to a vid to show you how as soon as I am able to :)
