    Hello everyone!

I've dropped my phone in the toilet and the WIFI chip seems to be the biggest victim. The chip itself seems to be broken which is all good accept the operating system continually tries to turn the WIFI on which causes all kinds of problems. Anyhow, I decided to just turn the WIFI off manually by deleting or remaining the .ko file associated with the WIFI in the system/lib/modules folder but for the life of me I cannot figure out which one is WIFI.

I Googled them and ruled out a few but none came back as a WIFI chip. Any ideas? here is a list of the files

None of those are jumping out at me as a wifi module. What device do you have? We *should* be able to look up what wifi chip is installed and figure out the module name that way.

I think the OP has an LG Optimus F6, which uses the Qualcomm MSM8930 SOC.

From my Desire Z days (another Qualcomm-powered device) istr the wlan.ko file being key to functioning wifi? At least that was the file that had to be replaced to restore wifi when it was 'broken' by a test ROM build.

Heyas guys, sorry for the late response. I actually have an LG Spirit. Problem is the water damaged the WIFI chip and I want to disable any possibility the operating system tries to turn it on (which causes it to reboot loop). Thanks very much for the assistance!
