I have checked some threads, and there seems not to be any new awesome launchers out there. I use adw-i really have tried them all and this one is the fastest on my unrooted D1, no FC's etc etc. I know there was a couple of good ones in beta. Gone now. Wondering if any good ones been released. I even tried Zeam.

    Just looking.

Shell looks pretty sweet, and there are obviously ways around the $15 for those who care to "try before they buy," but it's also not recommended for phones with slower 3-D rendering and less RAM, such as the D1.

I just stick to Launcher Pro...

I still use LP on my D2G. It's faster and more customizable than any other launcher out there, IMO. I've tried Zeam, ADW, Spark, etc.

Honestly, I don't get why Go Launcher and Zeam have gotten little to no attention around here. They're two of the most lightweight launchers out there (especially Zeam). But then I find that this forum, sadly, tends to glaze over a lot of important things that are posted up at XDA.

Launcher 7 is a fun one to try out if you want to get a little windows phone 7 flavor on your Droid.

I tried Zeam and like it, except the launcher's app drawer is inexplicably laggy on Pete's GPA14 mostly-stock Gingerbread :\ never seems to scroll anything approaching smoothly.. tried rebooting, knocking off the original launcher, clearing cache. sad face!

i'm mostly after something low-footprint in terms of RAM and smooth.
