I'd like an update on this too, specifically those non-rooted.

Last I heard was from a Verizon Business Email saying that there was going to be another update "in the coming weeks." So I am assuming that the update will be pushed out after all other devices get froyo (Incredible, Droid X, etc) Then they will worry about pushing the updated version. From what I hear though, there isnt really much other than small bug fixes.

Hey, if it get my wifi (and bluetooth, too, it appears) working again, it's more than a small bug fix in my book!

I have mine working right now with the latest baseband, FRG01B and nothing else really special.

You should try 1) a Factory Reset, and then 2) the 'Master' FRG01B update from Peter Alfonso

I cannot wait for FRG22. I have USB debugging on and ADB installed so that I can help get the update.zip out to you guys if I am one of the lucky ones to get the update first.

No word on if this is the official release so don't be disappointed if it isn't. Word also had it that updates would begin after FRG01B finished rolling out on the 18th.

This still hasn't been pushed OTA yet? I rooted and put a vanilla/stock FRG22 ROM on his phone a few weeks ago and last week he got an OTA update notification to update. So I told him to go ahead and let it (try) to install to get rid of the notification because it kept bugging him. I thought that was the FRG22 update, but maybe it was the FRG01..?

We simply don't know with any confidence that FRG22 or any fix load is headed for the Droid. It's amazing how the Android world is dominated by rumors that have nearly no foundation.

And so we come full circle, the source of the rumors, engadget. I quit believing them a while ago...

I had issues with the battery running out rather quickly after the 2.2 OTA (FRG01B) and did a factory reset, and things seem to be doing better now, although I won't know for sure until after a full day of normal use. Also, I suspect a widget I was using (and uninstalled) may have been the culprit as well.

I have had no issues with battery life - I did get rid of ATK (Advanced Task Killer) though and now just let Android/Linux do it;s thing with managing apps

Rooted version has been fine on my Droid since I loaded it after FRG01B felt a little sluggish.

Yeah throw a ChevyNo1 kernel on the FRG22 rooted, and your phone will be unbelievable!!

From all I have heard FRG22 may not even come OTA.

ROFLMAO - the only truth is the truth itself, Verizon employees obviously do not know
