With fast food I am more concerned if they get my order right. I really don't understand how fast food places can f up a single order... But it always seems to happen to me.

You order like a burger and fries, get home and find you have two tacos and jalapeno poppers...

Pfft.....shoulda gone to Burger King, better fries, better burgers, nothing beats the double XL Bacon Cheeseburger! Their crispy fries are nicer with little salt, their BBQ sauce is also better ;) Failing that KFC ALL THE WAY!!

I ordered a large fry today at Chick-fil-A and it was about half full as was my friend's. I wasn't in a fighting mood, otherwise I would have slapped the bitch that took my order and tossed the oversalted fries in her face.

So as an alternative to unreasonable violence, did you just say: 'Excuse me, you've under-filled my fries.', and resolve the 'problem' simply and reasonable like a grown-up.

That might be too easy for me...

But seriously, I have ordered a double cheeseburger w/o catchup before and it had catchup on it. I took it back to have it replaced and they simply scraped the catchup off the bun. I took it back again and watched the guy on the line spit on it (and I mean he hacked up a giant loogie). I called my Food Service Sanitation teacher (who happened to be a friend as well) at the Health Department and he showed up at the store at 2200. He saw the burger, performed a full inspection and cited them for 23 violations. The store was shut down for a full day and they were fined massively. I think the employee who spit on my burger was fired because I haven't seen him there since.

That'll teach them to screw up my order!!!!

As far as not getting enough fries, I just get the dollar fries anyways. It's kinda hard to skimp on them when the bag only holds five fries to begin with. :D

Culver's (burgers) & Chick-fil-a (chicken) > all other fast food.

For the UK public, I rather use Pret-a-mancer - man they got some lush food there!

Again, its more of a lunch place then anything else. :p

At least with McDonalds when this happens (and it happens often) I ring them up and they take my receipt details and give me the correct meal Free of Charge when I next visit (within 7 days) :D :D

I rarely go to McDonalds any more. Actually, I try not to do fast food in general (though sometimes I fold because it's quick, cheap (in some cases) and easy). I do go to Burger King for their $1 breakfast menu, because you really can't beat that, and what I would buy for 7 bucks somewhere else would be no more healthy (big omelet, home fries, etc).

In place of fast food, I try to find reasonably priced places that have (somewhat) more healthy meals. Yelp is awesome for that. For example, I found a Noodle place 5 minutes from my house that woks everything fresh to order. Sure, it's not "SUPER" healthy, but still better than a burger and fries. My usual order? Singapore style noodles (kinda like angel hair pasta) with Shrimp and Chicken (HUGE order), egg roll (freshly prepared in house), and a salad for $7. Great deal, and usually is 2 meals (or a meal and a half if I'm really hungry). A burger (not on the dollar menu), fries and a coke would cost that much at McDs, BK, etc...

Sorry to stray off topic. Back on, I am sure due to the economy, corporate offices are specifically telling employees the "exact" amount to put in a fry. 20 Years ago when I worked at McDonalds (yep, I did...when I was 16 until I turned 18), they really had no such restrictions, only guidelines.

Lastly, I recently saw an article (can't remember where, maybe business week?) that stated McDonalds is the only chain right now still doing well. The reason is that their demographic is wide spread, while Wendy's, Burger King & Carls Jr. cater to the 16-24 Male crowd...

I wouldn't know, I haven't eaten at a McDonald's in a long time.. I much prefer Whataburger or any other place for that matter.

And I only order the burger and a drink. I think I am doing enough damage to my body with the burger, no need to add the fries on top of that.
