Any Possibility for upgrading from 2.2 to 2.3?

Hi friends i am new here ...........yesterday i just purchased a New A 70 , and i am really happy to see a subforum for A70 plz can anyone tell me is there any possibility to upgrade to V 2.3 ginger bird?

Anyone can do it. You just have to get extract-files.sh script for this phone.

These days I am bit loaded with all kind of personal and official work. Positively i will start working on Cyanogenmod porting from coming Thursday.

Cyanogen already works for Micromax A70. It requires latest ROM manager and new version of Clock work recovery mod 4.0.1.5 based on this thread:

He is not aware that CM7 should be ported first to specific device.

How CM7 will detect your baseband radio camera wifi sound without proper drivers ?

*so files themselves are the drivers. Now you will have to download any AOSP ROM(CM7 may be best) and you will have to place the "extract-files.sh" there. Running this script will extarct all the drivers and will place them in respective folders.

You will have to edit extarct-files.sh according to A70 file locations.

i think u guys rock and wt ur effort we might hav a port soon this work should hv been done by micromax in first place and gingerbread should hv been the stock rom fr a phone wt dual cameras
