Maybe a dumb question - but rather than risk losing my micro sd card - I popped it in the storage for it in the Xoom for safe keeping. But now I am wondering if storing it there when the port is dead is a safe idea. I would think its ok - but what the heck do I know....

    Just curious what others think.

The port is not active. Its an SD card storage compartment at the moment . No damage. No harm

    In the forum dog house.
-just don't forget to remove it before you mail it out for the upgrade, lest it gets "lost" along the way.

Good point. Mine is WiFi only so I wont have to do that but this is a great point to make.
