Any way to change stock launcher apps?

I changed my browser from the stock to Operah. But everytime I hit the browser in the launcher it opens the stock one first.

Any way to change it?

I tried the other launching programs, I didn't like that I couldnt use the widgets that come with the phone

Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Browser -> [Clear Defaults]
