Any way to "Down grade"?

I have an app for security camera viewing that was working very well. The last upgrade about a month or so ago, is one big mess. Distorted pictures, cannot see all the settings menu, part of the display is "off the screen." Many, many complaints about this bad upgrade. Company has done nothing to fix the mess.
My questions would be is there any way to "downgrade" to a previous version that does not show anywhere on the google play site?

Your best bet is emailing the developer, explaining the situation and requesting the old .apk

If this was a one person developer I would consider that. But it is a big company that sells security camera equipment and appears to care little about free apps they make for their cameras.

Not sure how you could downgrade without totally uninstalling. I'm guessing this is a 3rd party app and not one added by your carrier? Normally if it's added by the carrier you can unintall previous versions which still leaves the app on the phone.
