Any way to have images or email all display on the screen at once like iphone?

One thing I like about my wife's iphone and ipad is that the email client shows an html email or email made up of images completely on the screen so you don't have to scroll around. Is there a way to do this on the gmail app?

Access Gmail from the browser and at the bottom click "Desktop". Save as a bookmark for speedy access

I don't think it is possible within the actual app
