I'd REALLY like for the main S4 app pages/screens to rotate into horizontal view, like I think I remember the S3 doing by default. Is there any way to get the S4 do the same? I'm in the market for a docking cradle and whether or not it can be done, will make a difference on exactly which one I go for. As always, thanks in advance! :)

If you set it to Auto rotate screen (in Display in Settings), it'll rotate to be in the horizontal view when you have the phone horizontally.

Well, that'll make certain applications you open rotate, but it has no affect on the default app pages themselves..

Anybody else? While I'd prefer to leave the OS alone, I'm not against change and/or modification etc, if it's the only way to achieve my goal..

Naa, I'm not needing a quick way to lock & unlock the rotation. Simply put, when you look at your main screen, with no apps open, I'd like it to auto rotate then too. For whatever reason, S4's don't seem designed to do such.

The Ultimate Rotation app in the Play Store will suit your needs. It will work on your home screens as well as the app drawer.

Finally somebody who actually knew wtf I was talking about, thx! :) That said.. really wish it'd dock the bottom 5 to the left instead of right. (or in a perfect world, center them across the bottom) The fact that it auto-rotates your background makes things messy too.

Honestly I haven't played around with all the settings in this awesome app. Once I found the orientation scheme I like I locked it in. There may be an answer to your wishes somewhere within all those options. Play around with it.
