I have drastically improved my battery life by turning off "Background data" and "Auto Sync" but then I have to manually sync my email accounts. Not a big deal since the result is improved battery life but is there a hidden setting somewhere on the phone to adjust how often it will auto-sync? I think if we had this option, each of us could set the phone to our needs. Maybe it will be an option for future OS updates?
Since changing the sync setting to manual my Droid has been off the charger for 5 hrs 46 mins and just turned from 90 to 80% battery life. Thats a great improvement as I was getting only 8-10 hours of use before a charge was needed.
