I tried yesterday but they are still giving the standard Col. Klink line... I know nothing!!!!... Very frustrated. But they did take my name and number and said I will be the first to know and first to get one when they find out.... Thanks VZ rep!!!!

I went to my local VZ store today and the guy looked at me like i was on drugs, so i politely told him I was going to best buy to buy it outright. then again I went to BB and they basically did the same thing, they had no dummy units, nothing. WTH??? Either BB, VZ or Motorola are seriously dropping the ball on this thing.

Maybe the better for us that people don't know.

    You might be right.

Edit: closest corporate store is almost 2 hours. Might as well go to the BB, 90 minutes away. I love the country but some times I'll tell you, I have to go way out of my way to get stuff.

If Verizon has a subsidized price I may consider it. It's like paying $10 a month for data.

What are the costs for data plans for this tablet? I was assuming $30 or $20. Is there a $10 plan? If they had a $10 plan and subsidized $200 - I'd stop torturing myself and buy one right away.

I was just saying the $200 reduction divided by 24 is like a $10 reduction in the monthly data plan which is $20 for 1 gb.

As of Sunday, we have yet to receive a launch kit or any demos. At my direct (corporate) location, we are not doing reservations, but we reps are taking names and numbers of interested customers. If we receive a good amount of inventory, we will be allowed to contact customers and make appointments for launch day (24th), which is basically a reservation. If we don't receive much inventory, we'll be calling our customers to basically suggest they come in early, as units will be first come first serve.

I'll go with the 20 dollar option unless I am going crazy with the data =P

We should have it on the 24th. We haven't received any accessories yet, though we did get in some for the Thunderbolt last week. Our stores do sell 32GB Micro SD cards, but they are expensive ($150). We don't have any info about a wifi only version, no sku or price or release date.

I expect we'll receive our launch kit, with a live demo, today or tomorrow. The tablets and accessories should also arrive a couple days before launch. I'll try and report what my corporate store receives.

My local Verizon store just called me to confirm they are putting my name on a Xoom and that I can come first thing Thursday and pick it up. Getting down to the wire.

I don't have a BB or Corp Verizon near me. But regular Verizon stores are all over. Nonetheless, I'm finding one Thursday ;)

Okay, my direct (corporate) location received ten tablets plus one demo. We are a middle of the road location in terms of traffic so some locations will probably receive more and some less. I'm not sure which indirect locations will have the units Thursday morning.

As for accessories, all we've received so far are standard docks and screen protectors, hopefully we'll receive more items in the next couple days.

I've only seen a handful of customers inquiring about the Xoom over the last couple weeks, so I don't expect us to sell out.

I spent some time handling the unit, but our demo isn't activated yet so I haven't been able to test everything. After my time with the tablet, I'm still planning to purchase one for myself. I know there will be a few growing pains, but I have faith in Moto, Google, and all the android developers.

Made a reservation for Thursday @ store open; yesterday evening w/ no problem.
Rep set aside all the accessories for me as well, so first thing Thursday I will hopefully be in, and out.
She explained everyone w/ a reservation will be taken care of first.

Only thing I thought was funny was that she was playing dumb w/ me, like she STILL didn't know the concrete subsidized & unsubsidized prices.....less than 48 hours from launch.
She claimed she hadn't received any memos yet and that the Xoom prices weren't in the system yet.
But she had no problem listing EVERY SINGLE PRICE for every Xoom accessory.
Trick please, you're not selling black market nuclear warheads, or require a G13 Top Secret Clearance.
The laughter continued when she tried telling me a data plan was required for the unsubsidized price of $799.

(Ummmm, sign up for a month and cancel within 72 hrs for the Unsubsidized price, correct?
What about the Wi-Fi's ??????????? LoL)
