Help anybody know if the EVO has a hole for phone charms or lanyards?

it would be a selling point for the wife...i haven't seen any detailed up close shots of the EVO. anybody know if its possible to attach a girly phone charm or lanyard to the phone?

You might find a silicon or hard plastic case that might have something for landyards and charms.

I'd be worried about any lanyards or charms making constant contact with the screen and possibly scratching it.

I know the screen is scratch resistant, but I wouldn't take the risk.

I dont know the answer to your question...
but..

this website is selling Lanyards and charms for the EVO.
I would take a guess that the EVO must have a slot for it.

I asked a friend who already has an Evo (from Google i/o) whether there is a slot for a lanyard and he said no. I took a picture with his phone and was nervous about dropping it onto the sidewalk without a case or lanyard.

Ahhh, my old pink fusic! LOL! I have a Coach charm that I used on my Centro, but I don't think I would put it on the EVO. I agree that I'd be afraid to scratch it.

And I'm willing to bet that it could be removed, as I'm willing to bet that it is a two-sided adhesive tape being used. And because of that, I'd be wary of using it with a lanyard. The tape becomes your weakest point if you're dangling your phone around.

Ought to be perfectly good for charms though. I just wouldn't recommend it for securing the phone via a lanyard.

No it doesn't have one, but you could always poke a couple holes in a case for cell phone charms, although I'd never use a lanyard on it this way.

To OP, I understand completely why your wife would want a phone charm/lanyard hole on the Evo.

For us girls, phone charms help us find the phone in our purses and pull them out with ease if they're in pockets.

Judging the size of the Evo, I guess there's no need for a phone charm. lol.

These are very durable. The tape is strong which is why I don't recommend using it on your actual phone but on a case because it won't come off.
