Anybody know what type of metal the trim on the S7 is?
Right but, "alloy" is not a type of metal. It's a combination of metals. So what I'm wondering is what those metals are.
I know i was being facetious because i couldn't find the answer on t'internet
Anodized aluminium alloy probably, these things sometimes are. Alloyed with what, have no idea. Unless it's just metallized polycarbonate plastic, that's what Samsung used to use for the original Galaxy S escutcheon. Which would often wear down revealing the base plastic underneath, and made the things look rather tatty and cheap.
I've read rumors that it was a magnesium aloy but, I don't know. It's definitely not some sort of metalized plastic. Tap it gently on your teeth and you'll see what I mean.
