    Hey Guys.

I just thought I'd pose a question to the lovely DHD community.

I was wondering if any of you guys and gals use sense in layout that the phone was defaulted to?

I for one almost swear by the HTC digital clock widget on my centre page with a gap then on the bottom row I have 4 icon widgets for my most used apps, and then my bookmarks to the left and email widget to The right.

Does anybody else still do this least to a degree? Or am I just dead boring and plain. I just love how sense looks.

    Looking forward for your inputs.

I do, I tried a couple of the other launchers out there and none of them I'd use over sense.

I'm going to give Widget Locker a shot, although I'm not sure you could class that as a launcher?

Nice screen. You should put it on the thread - 'show us your screens' or whatever.

I'm a adw man myself, same as you though, the paid version (adw ex) gives you a lot more.

I tried to resist the call of rooting & rom-ing, but it got the better of me 2 weeks back, now running cyanogen mod7 rc3, with adw ex of course.

Still pissin about getting just how i want it, i'll post a screen soon.

As a result of this post I've decided to revert back from my "Zeam" launcher, which I have used for since I had my Original Desire back in mid 2010, to Sense for a while and see what it's like. I can't even remember any of the widgets that most people say they miss from Sense.

    I'll give it a try!

    Great post!

I use unadulterated Sense on my DHD but have changed the homescreens. I think OP was asking if anyone still uses the actual layout of icons on the factory set-up.

I have use various launchers and for me none beats the Sense UI.

Thanks for your replies people, its good to know that there is a lot of variety, the true colours of Android really showing there!

Seeing as the thread is getting a bit more attention than I thought it would...allow me to take a minute to explain its origin.

I have had three Android htcs since 2009 (hero, desire, desire hd) and the issue I have had with all of them is the feeling that "there are people out there with better looking phones than me" this is obviously because of the "desktop" threads where people show there fancy modified screen.

I have it ago, tried a launcher and some apps and icons etc so I could do a bit of playing. I got a screen on LPP that looked good, but then (for over six months) I found myself losing a bit on interest in my phone, I no longer sat in bed till 5am fiddling with useful things.

I finally decided to do something about it a few days ago, and factory reset the phone, I was back with sense and I an in LOVE. phone look and feels fresh and is actually a lot smoother.

Just thought is get some inputs. :)

I couldn't agree with you more mate, I have had the Desire and Desire HD and it's only now that I have gone back to Sense that I remember why I originally fell in love with my Desire!!!

Customisation and the option to do it is great, but I didnt realise how happy I was with just sticking with Sense! I'm in love with my Desire HD again after months of neglecting my customised android phones!!!

    Wow! I'm not alone!

I also have both the Desire (running a gingerbread ROM) and an unrooted, "pure" sense DHD.

Sense does so many things right that I'm sticking with it. There is something special about vanilla Android but it's totally undermined by atrocious contact management.

The only (cosmetic) additions I have are the following:

    1) Gingerbread keyboard
    2) Gingerbread live wallpaper

I did try the Gingerbread launcher too for a while but didn't like it.

So, my phone looks a bit like it's running 2.3 but is actually just good old Sense and 2.2.

    Yay.

I'm pretty much on stock layout, I've yet to see anything I prefer than the standard clock widget, and the standard layout suits me fine :D

    Maybe I'm just boring though...
