I have started forming (in my head at least) some basic "scenes" for my Hero, but i was wondering if anyone had already done this and if so, would you mind sharing what you have in mind as far as how you plan to categorize and organize your scenes?

I'm thinking of having scenes for Work, Home, Travel, and maybe a Weekend scene.

Now I have to plot out what I want (apps, widgets, wallpaper etc) in each of these scenes

if anyone has this already plotted out and would like to share, I'd be interested in hearing (or reading) your ideas.

I haven't planned out my scenes. I figure I'll wait until I have the Hero in hand, play around with it a little until I fall upon a scene I really like and that meets my needs.

For me, I don't use 'em. 7 screens is enough for me!

I have a page for games,
    a page for apps,
one for home (mail and messages etc with clock),
another for music (with lastfm and shazam etc on it),
One for multimedia (youtube, camera apps, media players etc)
One page totally filled with calendar,
the last one is for web bookmarks.

    Don't really need the scenes...........

Like Trick, I probably will not need scenes really. I suppose you might need more than 7 screens if you are slapping full page widgets on each one. I wont be doing that though.

I have giving thought to how I want my Hero set up. Widget placement is not final yet, but ideas none the less.

I might be an old fart (at 33), but the full screen widgets don't really do it for me.
I reduced the music widget to the smaller one.
The only full screen I have is for the calendar.

The fastest way I have found to call someone is to hit "phone" and start typing their name........

I know I'll want a "work" setup so time is in Zulu, work contacts are readily available, and I'm hoping the new software that we're rolling out here on Oct. 23rd will be able to send a certain report out to a mobile device so I don't have to kill a tree every day printing it out.

As far as the difference between scenes and the seven page thingy, I guess I should really sit down and read the damn .pdf file on the setup, huh?

The difference between your scenes just ends up being the widgets on your 7 home screens.

Think of it like this. You have a standard 7 homescreens, but each of your scenes have the potential to be different.

I will use your work setup. You want Zulu time, theres a Duel Time clock that you can set up so you have the current time as well Zulu. Your background would be something fitting for the job (no nude women), Speed dial contacts, and all your usual settings Wifi, 3G, GPS would all be "pre-set". Think of it like a preset radio station on your radio.

So when you switch to another scene, you can change all those settings without the worry you have to take all the time to put everything backk just to go to work.

The key is having what you need (want) and where you want it for the appropriate time or activity.

I'll need a Work scene, with appropriate wallpaper (maybe Co. Logo),
I'll want bookmarks to some frequently visited websites, email and also contacts for frequently called people. I'll have a few apps handy that I'll use for work (maybe a few games to help me get through the long boring meetings).

And then when I'm at home, I'd want different wallpaper, different apps etc. I won't need quick access to those work related websites or contacts, so I'll have different apps, games, social network apps etc for when I'm home.

I may set up a Travel scene with different clocks, switches for Wifi, airplane mode etc. i may have the music app closer to the front page then in other scenes and I'll want links to Marriott website and Continental Airlines etc etc.

Some of the scenes will have a lot of the same widgets & apps, but maybe in a different location based on how often you use that app, widget during that activity (work, home, travel etc.)

I know I'll be spending a lot of time this weekend trying to configure my Hero
