    Hello,
I have searched the interet high and low and cant find an answer to my question.
I have a tmobile[IMG] g1, no warranty, because i bought it from a friend...anyway...the problem is, when i close my screen the backlight goes out. like i can still see the screen, just REALLY dim and no light.
I read somewhere its the flex ribbon or something.
Someone told me that it could be a app doing this, but i have reset my phone.
How would i go about fixing this at home, or is this have to be fixed by a proffesional.
I cant send it to tmobile or anything, because i didnt buy it from them.
    Thanks

Here is a video of my phone:

I have this happened to me once ... very easy to fix ... take out the battery and put it back in. :)

Edit: I just finished watching your video and realized we may not have the same problem.
