General Anyone else seen this problem before?

    Hello,
    I have searched the interet high and low and cant find an answer to my question.
    I have a tmobile[​IMG] g1, no warranty, because i bought it from a friend...anyway...the problem is, when i close my screen the backlight goes out. like i can still see the screen, just REALLY dim and no light.
    I read somewhere its the flex ribbon or something.
    Someone told me that it could be a app doing this, but i have reset my phone.
    How would i go about fixing this at home, or is this have to be fixed by a proffesional.
    I cant send it to tmobile or anything, because i didnt buy it from them.

    I have this happened to me once ... very easy to fix ... take out the battery and put it back in. :)

    Edit: I just finished watching your video and realized we may not have the same problem.

    yeah ive done everything lol...i think im just going to have to find someone who knows what there doing to fix it.
    I figured id ask and see if it was a common problem or something.
