Because I can't find Handcent SMS in the Market anywhere. Does it not work for 2.1? I can find the Font Packs but that's it.

If this has been posted I'm sorry I didn't see it.

Try to find handcent sms 2.9.36 build. It works great on the EVO. Appbrain will try to update it but it won't work. No biggie. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.

Put the .apk file on your SD card. You can put it anywhere you will remember. I make a folder called programs or downloads.

Go to the marketplace and download Astro File Manager. Using Astro, navigate to the Handcent.apk file on your SD card and select it to install. There is a chance you'll need to enable the installation of unsigned programs and this is done in the Settings > Applications menu.

Is there anyway to display the contact's photo in Hancent like in the default Messages app? I couldn't find the option under settings.

Hmm i need some babysteps on this.

I have a downloads folder on my SD card, put how do i switch to it to save it to there? I just get the option to rename, no change the destination download so i keep getting a error that it does not support it when i try to DL it?

    Thanks

So it's on my SD card and I already had astro on my phone but I'm not finding any way to install it. It says extract but it does nothing.
