I've been trying to find a way to stream music from my Droid to my PS3 so I can listen to it on the system in my living room. I've run into a couple of problems and haven't been able to find a method that works.

First of all, the PS3 doesn't support the A2DP Bluetooth profile, so music streaming through BT won't work. This was the first big disappointment. I've considered just using an adapter on a double ended headphone cable and plugging it straight into the receiver, but then I'd have a cable strung across the living room.

I'm not sure there really is any other way to do this, but if someone's figured it out, please share the wealth. I know I can just set up to stream music to the PS3 on my network from my PC, but I don't want to do that. I would like access to change the music from my phone and listen to things like Internet radio stations or Grooveshark, which I'd have to go to the PC manually to play.

Any suggestions? Or is this one hopeless.

Have you tried wifi? Search the app store for some free DLNA program. I have used these to display photos from my phone on the PS3. I have not tried audio. It may only work with saved audio and not be able to output your streaming audio though.

If that works you'll be my hero.
Hey bro, that app he posted was a trap. I just searched DLNA in Google play market and this app called bubble something was the first result. Works perfectly. I just downloaded it and it showed up on my ps3 under music.

Hey man. I don't think there is a way to do it like that. But what I use on my ps3 is, I downloaded Spotify, and then if you have that on, on your ps3. If you get on Spotify on your phone, you can pair it with your ps3. So you control it on your phone but I plays on your ps3. That's the best option.

Go to settings and turn on nearby devices on your phone and it should ask you what u want to be visible to turn on your ps3 and go to the music and you should see your device pop up. Listen and enjoy
