Root anyone get adfree to work?

    i keep getting update failed when trying to update hosts

    That's because hosts is in /system/etc and system is protected still. Feel free to correct me if Im wrong.

    I've been messing in su but unable to change the hosts file. Looks like that should have been one of the steps right after getting root in recovery. Either make it writeable which is a bit hazardous or simply push a new hosts file over the stock empty one. I only know what that will do in Windows. Not sure how an android would react to failed host. I would make all blocked hosts refer to 0.0.0.0 as opposed to the loop back 127.0.0.0 to speed it up.
