I'm new to this site, so I posted this question in the general android discussion forum yesterday. I didn't even notice there was a forum for each device.

That discussion got long, and a bit off topic, so I'm starting this one in the proper forum, to hopefully get people to reply when they have received the OTA update (not a manual install).

Please reply if you got the OTA update and let us know when.

I have one of these devices, and as of 9:45 ET 7/26 I have not yet received the OTA update.

Not yet. I suspect they will get it out to all of the Nexus 4's before they start pushing it out to other devices.

History says that it will take at least a week or two. In the past it is 2-4 weeks.

Then why do they say "rolling out today"? Why not say "rolling out over the next few weeks"?

Because Google has always done phased roll outs. So it started that day and you were not a part of Phase 1.

And the exact words were "STARTS today"

I'll be damned. I got notice of your reply, so I hit my Check For Update button and it is available now. I just checked like 90 minutes ago.

    Here we go....

As expected, no game changing differences. Camera settings GUI is a nice change, though!

    Verizon Nexus isn't Pure Google?
    That sux!

It is, but Verizon controls tge update, same as sprints version

Aka it'll be months before it gets updated.

I'm not sure sprints even got 4.2.2 yet

Pure Android is purchased from Google or installed by the user

Im confused, what do you mean by "purchased from Google?"

Sorry.....a phone running pure Android is purchased directly from Google.

Got mine last night about 21:30gmt
Wife's n4 update came at the same time

Not noticed anything new and the change log indicates a lot of stuff that I either
    Don't understand
    Don't use or see

What you will actually see is the camera interface. Gone is the settings circle where your finger covers up everything you need to see. Now you have a series of arches that keep popping up higher on the screen as you drill down.

What you won't see is things like battery and memory optimization stuff like low energy Bluetooth support and TRIM memory management

Received my update last night (UK) and its good to see the call app now supports name dialling, as in typing the first digits of someone's name for it to appear on screen. I've been using a 3rd party app since I bought my Nexus.

Why didn't you just dial through contacts?
