If it's got miniUSB on one end, it'll work.

I believe that the chargers may vary in the ampage outputted, which'll mean a slower/faster charge depending on what you're using. But none of them will make your phone blow up. Which is nice.

MiniUSB? I thought it was MicroUSB? I'm confused.

Yes, as USB is a standard you should be able to use any. My blackberry charger and generic car charger are fine with my N1.

I did a little research. Palm Pre data cables work in the Nexus one so I've got Pre USB charger ordered.

    From the official specs

So it'll charge faster from the charger than a pc :)

Try searching for "FeedR" or "FeedR News Reader" as full name. Very popular RSS reader that costs $0.99 . If you haven't seen ANY paid apps so far then something is definitely wrong.. I remember seeing them everywhere from the start, quite sure it was even before I put a sim card in. Maybe a setting somewhere?

Woho! Congratulations! I'm happy to have helped you (among others) take the plunge :D Now the tracking party begins.. You and chaz_uk will be having a fun these days wearing down your F5 key and staring yourself blind on yellow airplanes :)

Oh dear, no sign of that app. Hopefully my sim will arrive tomorrow and I can pop it in and see what happens. Failing that, I will just shove my old contract one in. I've had NetCounter running since last night and it shows me as having used 45.85MB through wi-fi, and the old contract has 50MB included, so perhaps just doing it to check the apps can't hurt.

:D :D Yaaaay! Congrats on your order, you will definitely have it tomorrow, unless there is some freaky snow storm or flood. Which seems completely unlikely now (boooo, I was enjoying the snow!)

Get up early, I've read people have had theirs delivered at 8:30. When mine came I didn't even hear the doorbell! Although if you're reading this soon after I type it, good luck with the early morning.

Must sleep myself now, got jobseekers meeting in the morning. Fun times.

My tracking has said processing complete East Midlands since 00.29 on Sunday morning, hasn't moved in over 24 hours! Looking like I'll not have it until tomorrow, think I was being abit too optimistic hoping for it today!

Hopefully, can't wait to get it now, my brothers home until lunch time and he's gonna leave a note to say to leave it with the neighbours if it doesn't arrive before he leaves.

Put the sim in already! Get the app NetSentry or Network Monitor to check if the phone is using any mobile data transmissions.. The phone SHOULD automatically choose Wifi if it's available (so it says on the manual!) so if it doesn't there's a serious flaw! I've been using my phone frenetically (130Mb downloaded on wifi) and still only 232 Kb on mobile data and that was for trying the mobile data out when I was out of range of any wifi.

By the way, for those of you having mobile data on, are you getting a connection anything better than GPRS? I'm not.. Tried tons of different APN settings :(

Sounds like you'll definitely have it today! Shouldn't take more than a few hours from EMA to your doorstep.

If you're lucky they left it at you neighbours.. Maybe call DHL to check?

    Net Sentry question.

Does your data show 2G/3G usage and the Ethernet underneath?

On my Hero before it said Wi-fi, not Ethernet... strange...

    pmsl "chuck norris".

Nelien, I'll pop the SIM in when I'm back from my jobseekers. I can see the postman up the road but I'll be gone before they get here, so maybe I'll be lucky and they'll have delivered the new one. Maybe.

SIM arrived just as I was leaving for the bus. So. Questions. Should the second APN setting for MMS be called "o2" or "o2 mms"?

Well that blows. Are you using the UK DHL tracking service or the USA one? I had both mine open at one stage as they show slightly different data. Or perhaps it's just the wording.

I found it was fun until I stayed up til 3am on occasions hoping for an update. I was usually rewarded though, so perhaps it was worth it! I like to feel intense monitoring of the situation will inform a psychic DHL employee who will hear our urgency and put the parcel to the front of the line

*chortle* I may be giggling, but it's only because I completely empathise.
