Yup! Flight should land around 11:30 tonight, and be at your local depots by 5 or 6am for delivery tomorrow. Congrats guys!

Next step is "Google Phone Webstore charged your <card> xxx-xxxx for $558.65. "GOOGLE *Nexus One" will appear on your credit card statement."

    Then it gets shipped.

I ordered at around 6pm. The following day the order was shipped. Two days later I received it. Four days, I reckon, three if you're lucky. Monday or Tuesday maybe, DHL should hopefully get their hands on it tomorrow, it'll fly to UK over the weekend, and then delivery. Good luck!

I spent a lot of my time waiting here on the forums (don't believe any of the negative press. I started feeling wary a day before it was due, but had absolutely no reason to be worried, it's perfect!) and reading the manual. That is really something useful, you'll have an idea of how to do everything and the options available before it's in your hands.

don't forget that forums are places for questions. As has been pointed out in other threads, it makes sense that the majority of posts are complaining of problems. Those that have no problems don't post, so there is a bias towards unhappy posts.

Don't panic, it's beautiful. And if it's not for you, you do have 2 weeks to play with it before making a decision. But I bet you'll have made it within hours ;)

There really is no need to worry! :)

I came from a Magic, rooted, with CyanogenMod (and that was fast compared to the stock ROM)... a week later and I'm still "wow". The Nexus is an amazing phone. You really will look down your nose at the G1/Magic after using it.

Oniongirl is right, as soon as you've played with it, you won't go back.

IMO, the Nexus is what Android should have been from the start. Fast, smooth and full of quality. :)

I agree with oniongirl, don't be let down by all the shouting. I believe it's mostly due to the immense, almost surreal expectations the phone has. I understand the phone was advertised in the US as messiah's return to earth, or close at least, so it's understandable people get disappointed when they realize it's "just a phone". Bear in mind though, that I dare to say it's the best phone ever released, but still, it has the limitations and flaws any new technology has when it reaches the market. Besides, the majority of the complaints are Android based and nothing that can't be fixed with an OS update.

In the end, you can trust us :), you won't be disappointed!

Hopefully that wouldn't be the case as there are HTC offices over here too, so you would be talking to them, not someone in America.

Mine is now showing as "6:51 Arrived at Delivery Facility in Gatwick- UK"

Seems odd that it hasn't gone to a local depot (Basildon or Dartford), or is that the next step?

Yeah, Gatwick will be your local hub were it'll get sorted and transferred to the local depot (Basildon or Dartford). From there a nice man will put it in his van and speed his way to you with your shiny N1. Let us know when it arrives and your impressions.
Oh and don't wait to charge. Just charge and play - it'll have ~40% charge so enough to get you started.

Anytime soon it'll leave that facility on a van on it's way to you.

Mine is currently up the M27 in Southampton

Mine's on the Delivery vehicle after arriving at Maidstone. I hope they don't take to a local office i.e. Dartford now because they'll have driven past the end of my road!!
