My battery drained really fast today even though I use a task killer. Has anyone found an app that shows what is using your battery at any time?

    Do you have Android 2.1?

If so menu>settings>about phone>battery>battery use will do it

Yeah I have 2.1. The battery view doesn't tell me about specific apps which I'm interested in. Something I've installed must be draining the battery but I was hoping to find an app that works a bit like task manager for Windows?

I've tried a few and have now stuck with TasKiller.

It's free on the marketplace and comes with a widget (size of an icon) which you can press to free up memory when needed.

You of course can add apps to ignore and it specifically mentions to add a couple of HTC processes to avoid crashing the phone.
