I'm not even going to touch this.

There's lots of research to do on all of this, cowboy. Before going from anything to anything.

You can't just 'hop around' versions. The Root 2.1 is a lower version number than the Leak. You can't go down, just like you can't go from 2.1 to 1.5.

We are hoping and looking for a way to root Leaked 2.1 or official 2.1 when it comes out, so that the Leakers aren't stuck.

There ya go bud. That's what happens when you try to go from the 2.1 leak to 2.1 root.

    Sucks.

The only problem with this, is when people get stuck cause they shouldn't be doing it in the first place, they come to the forums for help. Crackberry was wrought with n00bs doing stuff they shouldn't have been!

That would be great in a fail thread.

Is there any update to this? Going from the original 2.1 leak to a rooted 2.1?

Currently, there is no update (or root) for those who are on the 2.1 leaks. I know the developers are working on it, but nothing new has been found yet. Sorry.

dgdave: according to acidbath all the root status (1.5 or 2.1) will be listed on the "All Things Root" section of the Eris forum. You can check the first sticky on that to get the information on what's out there. hope this helps
