so I noticed that verizon is no longer selling the original droid online, it was my first choice for replacing my palm pre plus (30 day return period)
because of money, i wont be going to the droid 2, droid x or incredible

so that leaves me down basically to the lg ally which I would prefer not to get, but I may end up doing it.

Is there a way to get the original droid from verizon, such as calling? all help is appreciated, thank you.

Not sure you can get it new, but you can pick one up on Craigslist used for $100. There are tons for sale. Also, try an authorized reseller, they may still have some in stock, or Best Buy closeouts.

I went to my local VZW store and they showed the DROID as special order only, and raised the price to $209 lol.

Still, with all of its capabilities and the lack of Moto Blah and VZW's BS, I'd take it over the newer models any day.

hmmmm okay. Thank you all for your quick replies.
now I think I have to decide whether to stay with webos till 2.0 and buy an android phone on ebay next summer or go to the droid ally. But I have heard it's slow and won't get flash so idk

The independantly owned Verizon "Wireless Zones" in my area still have them on display for 149.99.

    Check Amazon as well.
