Now that PA has essentially relaunched for 2016 with new goodies, I was hoping that we can get a port up and running. @zlaja84, is it based on AOSP or CM? If CM, would you be willing to help me get a port working for everyone?

We first must have to wait for them to release MM sources, their last update was at the beginning of may, I think. Anyway, we have to wait for aospa-l (legacy), that's how it's been in the past, aospa for Nexus, aospal for the rest. I think it will be CM based since they'll be including theme manager :) but that may not be true. btw, did anyone saw that OxygenOS went open source?

Gotcha. But AOSPA isn't just for Nexus. Check their site, plus I'll add they just did a huge update. Anywho, OxygenOS did NOT go open source, but the files for the OP2 did. Mistake reporting by XDA which they apologized for.

I guess, I'm looking at the wrong places then, becuase I only see one upadte to manifest from may 2nd, and two updates to kernels of specific devices from maybe 20hrs ago.

Did they open some new github that I'm not aware of? And if I remember correctly, they mentioned some improvements to CAF in their announcement? Or am I getting older and forgetful :D Anyway, I guess good times are ahead of us, but mostly without me :( I'll provide my help and assistance to you and the rest when the time comes, rest assured.
