I have downloaded the Sideload Wonder Machine and a couple apps that I want to use it on, but my downloads all show up as a winzip file with .apk in the name. Such as "shakethemall.apk.zip". How do I make them a .apk file so that the sideloader will use it?

Looks like winzip pro is recognizing that it can open the file and automatically adding a .zip at the end of the file. Not sure how to fix it, but I would start looking in the settings for that program, or any other similar programs you may have installed.

Ok thanks. I figured it out. I had to change the file extension type after fiddling with the folder options. It works now.
