Let's say I left my USB cable at home. Is it generally safe to transfer apk's and other files to the phone via DropBox (upload to dropbox and then download via the dropbox app)?

I'm worried about all the files ending up corrupted or something -- I've gotten this with downloading zips to the PC with an unstable internet connection.

I do this occasionally. Never had any problems myself.

Even if the apk did become corrupt I suspect it would just refuse to install.

Tried it, worked flawlessly. Thanks! (Also, what I wasn't expecting was that once I downloaded the apk file I was prompted to install right away. - not sure if this is due to dropbox or the cm1.6 or if this is just what happens automatically when you download an apk) Nice.
