The other evening my friend downloaded a 'slide' keyboard app to my wildfire phone and since then I haven't received a single text. I have since deleted it as I was getting a 'phone low on storage' message all the time, the message has now gone, but to no avail. I've turned it off and back on, removed the battery and tried all manner of things so now I need the help of you lovely people.

Sounds like you might need to do a factory reset ...but make sure you back up photos, music, texts, contacts etc first to your pc and sd card. Your paid and free apps should auto restore from market via myapps when you log in to market from the reset phone.
