I have ADW launcher and ran into the same problem when my 5 y/o removed the icon. What seemed to work for me is - long press as if adding an icon on any screen - Select "Launcher Actions" - Select "Open/close App Drawer". The icon will appear on your screen. Drag it down to the center launcher position. Done. Hope this helps someone, took me awhile to figure it out.
