General App for streaming media over wifi from HTC Desire S to wireless music player/radio

    Hi all.
    Can some1 please help me i would like to know would it be possible to and if there is an App anywhere for streaming media over wifi from HTC Desire S to wireless music player/radio or could there be an app that does a similar job ie wirelessy from HTC desire s via my Tenda router to my wireless music player/radio, i have had a look on the various app sites but so far to no avail!
    Thanks in advance btw if any1 knows of a similar request on here or else where please link me please, ta.;)

    If your music player can connect to a network (such as your router) you can download twonky which creates a "server" where it can share media.
    I can connect my phone to my ps3 via this method and stream music, videos, pics etc. Quite handy.

    Also, can't you connect via bluetooth and play it through the speakers?

    Thanks 4 ur reply, my wireless/wifi player/internet radio has no bluetooth but yes it can connect wirelessly via my router. so correct me if iam wrong i take it i dwl Twonky onto my pc and/or HTC desire S, then i should b able to stream my media content to my wireless wifi player/internet radio, anyway i will give it ago & c wot happens, thanks again. will let u know how i get on ta.

    Download Twonky from the Android market. It uses your home network (router) to share files which are on your phone should you choose to share them! With my phone and ps3 hooked up to my WiFi, I've streamed audio and pictures from my phone. Should be same principle for your home system although I wouldn't know how you'd look for shared media.

    Another app which looks promising and easier to use is BubbleUPnP

    I'll probably try this one myself. Looks handy!

    Cheers bud, twonky does work when i can get the wifi radio to find it and the signal/connection does not drop out! ta

    Ah yes, my Twonky connection is never perfect but it is usually fine.

    The occasional drop-off but these things happen =)
