[App help] Kindle won't open

Kindle was working OK but yesterday it started closing as soon as it started to open. Rebooted phone and then it opened but today it started doing the same thing. As soon as it starts to open it shuts down again as soon as the Kindle logo appears on the screen. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it made no difference. No messages or anything. Just shuts down.

Have you done anything to your phone in between it working and not working?

Have you cleared the cache and/or the data?

Has there been an update to the Kindle app in between it working and not working?

Is there an update for the Kindle app in the Play Store that might fix this?

Yes, cache and data had been cleared.
No updates that I saw and I don't have auto updates on
Installed latest updates from playstore and from Amazon app store
No errors on the screen. Just shuts down after flash screen

I just restored a backup from my HTC One X to my HTC One and the app would Force Close when trying to open a book.

Had to uninstall and reinstall the app and redownload all the books again.

Have you restored the app from a backup?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling again.

Are you on 4.1.2 or 4.2.2?
