    Can anyone help me?

I had app hider installed on my HTC Desire HD A9191 (Android 2.3.5) which I had to factory restore. After factor restoring, i tried to installed app hider again but it doesn't work as they have upgraded it to Android 4.0 and up which doesn't support my phone now. Is there any other app similar to App Hider. There are some other apps but they required my phone to be rooted which I don't know how to do?

Can someone advise me an easy process of either rooting my phone or advise me of something similar to App Hider?

In order to hide apps, the app doing the hiding must get root permissions. If your phone wasn't rooted it wasn't hiding apps.

Well, you can use a launcher (root not required) which has an app hiding function in it.

I used Nova Launcher and it has an "Hide Apps" feature in the Nova Settings -> Drawer.

Of course the apps are all still present, but you don't see them when you view the app drawer, which I'm guessing might be sufficient for you.

    Works great!
