We have a member management product for use at the front desk of member based businesses. We found out a client has been using a generic tablet with a web browser to check in students for his school on the go.
We decided to start researching tablets that we would resell and support that would be fully integrated into our product. Android is obviously our first consideration and we will be purchasing hte first slew of 3.0 tablets for testing.
I have an invite to the App Inventor but wanted some info before attempting anything. Essentially we need an app that uses the camera to scan a barcode that can pass information into a designated field. If we created a mobile app version of our product we would like it to be similar to the Barcode Scanner that exists now; certain links have the option to "open in market" or "open in web browser" but we would like the option to open in our own app.
Any thoughts, suggestions? Potential freelancers looking for work down the road?
