Hey i found this app today and tested it on my N4 and works perfect, This is the new google camera apk, extracted from google edition smartphones, Enjoy!

Important: I didn't extracted i just found it and wanted to share with you.

At first try, auto-focus was focusing in a fast mode lol, but after a couple of shots, it's normal now, and my flash button is working.

Been using it about all day and it seems to work really well. I do prefer the UI of it to the previous one.

Camera worked great the first few days. Now i can't open the camera or the gallery.
Luckily rebooting the phone brings back the original camera and gallery.

Anyone else experiencing this?

What do you mean open camera? Like it says can't connect to camera dialogue box?

I try to open the camera app to take a picture and it just goes to a black screen. Doesn't really say anything. Nothing happens. Same thing if I try to open the gallery.

The OP is not the dev--Google is and it's (presumably) part of a stock ROM, so the Play Store would not be involved.

I think this is okay, however, the OP could post the source where it was found, though, so folks might feel better about its origins (i.e., I used the word "presumably" above since without knowing which factory image or stock ROM it was pulled from, folks can't really tell or know that this is not a modified .apk (unlikely as that may be, of course)).

No rush...I'll get it when my Nexus 4 updates...maybe later this month.

Love the gallery and the Camera isn't to bad. I plan on really putting it through its paces this weekend.
The camera on my Galaxy Rush isn't to bad but I will be able to say which one I like better in a few days.
