App suggestions for my use as a touch panel at home?

Will be using android as a touch panel at home for the automation system and was looking for recommendations.
-Wanted the screen or unit to turn off late at night and back on in the morning
-Was hoping to have a screen saver running with weather so when I touch the screen I go straight into the home automation app


I think I can do some of this with tasker
