I bought an AC charger that's advertised as 3 Amp. (It's the PowerGen dual-port USB charger that's received good user ratings on Amazon.) I'm using it now, but it's been charging much slower than my old 1-Amp charger. My phone is slowly losing charge when it's charging and being used at the same time, (with my old charger, my phone still gained charge when I was charging and using the phone at the same time.)

Is the an app that can show how much my phone is charging?

You can go into settings-display and check "show battery percentage" so it displays it. That's how I determine how fast a charger is working... just kind of keep an eye on that number as it charges.

Also, not sure if its still available but Battery Monitor used to be an app for that I think?
I just keep an eye on my percentage number though & kind of judge it from there & seems to work giving me an idea.

I'm looking for an app that can tell me the exact mAh that's being supplied into my phone from my charger.

Yeah, Battery Monitor Widget is its name and it has a nice graph mA by time :)
BTW, mAh is the capacity of the battery, charging or discharging current (amperage) is shown as mA.

It seems that the charger hasn't the Samsung coding of the data lines for rapid charging with high amperage ... Samsung modifies their charger similar that way ...

Found out the problem was not the PowerGen AC adapter. It was the cable.

Galaxy Charging Current Lite looks like what you are looking for. I've never used it, but it gets 4 starts.

Also, GSAM Battery Monitor has a widget that shows (time) Left to full when charging. It's the second widget when you are choosing. The long battery, not the single icon widget. I know it's not exactly what you need, but it's a good indicator of time left.
