Hi.. I have no idea why this is happening. I have a rooted Droid 1, when I get a notification for an update, then go to update the app, I open the app, and at the top of the page it says, "This item is not compatitable with your device". The apps that wont let me update are Adobe Reader, App 2 SD, Google Music, and Youtube. All these apps are installed and used to update no problem until about a couple months ago.

Does anyone know why this is?

Try clearing your Market's data. Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All tab > scroll to Market and open > Clear Data.

Try logging in to the Market on the web, market.android.com - maybe it thinks the device registered for you can't handle those apps or something.

The Market is known to have various bugs like that, so no guarantees, but worth a shot!

Don't worry, it happens sometimes. Just clear your Market's data.
