[app] Wifi tether (FoxFi) Any luck?

Looking for a WiFi tether app, that does not require root. FoxFi seems to work on MoPho, bot not EVO? Any help on this would be greatly appreciative.

i had some trouble at first getting this to work on my DX a few months ago. emailed the dev with the issue and they quickly released a patch that fixed it. that would be my advice. there's also a troubleshooting guide on the dev's website, i believe. might give that a try.

good thing is the dev supports the app and releases regular updates for it. get in contact with them, they will get back to you. don't give up.

From FoxFi's description it says it won't work on any HTC phone. As far as I know all other wifi tether apps require root. There's always PDANet if you choose not to root but you will have to be plugged into your computer for it to work. Another option is subscribing to your carrier's tethering plan.

You should be able to use Foxfi in Bluetooth mode still on your HTC device.
