Apple Lossless on Desire

Okie dokie, so my iPod Classic has taken a trip into a small stream (oops! don't ask me how...)

Can't exactly afford another one just yet, so I was going to use my Desire as a stand in for the time being. Only problem is maybe 90% of my library is Apple Lossless encoded, which the Desire won't play! I really don't want to have to sit there converting everything and having duplicates all over the place.

Is there any software that will allow me to play this codec on the Desire?

I know there is an app (iSync i think) that should sync all your i tunes to your phone. This may answer your question...

Apparently, Meridian will play ALAC files. I haven't got any to test it, but the player is free, so you can give it a try.

Thanks dude, yeah Meridian will play my ALAC files but it's probably the worst player I've ever seen! The UI is really terrible and it won't recognise any ID3 tags. Everything is just 'unknown' apart from track names.

It's not ideal, but I suppose it will have to do for now. Thanks again!
