Apple music stability

Want to switch from an iPhone to an Android device (probably Pixel 2), but am a heavy user of Apple music. A brief internet search has indicated that this app is unstable, at best, running on Android.
Any recent experience, or feedback with this app on Android?

Any chance of completely breaking free of Apple and using Google music? I think this is a case of "When in Rome ..."

FWIW I did try Apple Music three months free trial. The app did seem stable and always worked for me, but didn't care much for it though, music recommendations always completely off from what I like, as well as not having any Cultural Revolution opera.

I took up EE's offer of 6 months free trial of Apple Music. Had no problems with it so when the free period expired last November continued with the subscription. Still have no problems with it. This is on two devices HTC M7 and HTC 10.
