    Good Afternoon,

I previously owned the Ideos U8150, until it wad unfortuently stolen....

I am now looking at the X3 or X5 depending on one of the features of the X3. Unfortuently at 2degrees stores I have not been able to get a play with the X3 as they are not stocking them to play with.

What I wanted to know was that can the X3 handle applications such as "Words With Friends" as the Ideos U8150 could not accept such an application.

Apparently, can't it handle "Google Sky" either. I was told that the U8150 was unable to accept some apps because of the resolution. Is this the same for the X3 or can the X3 use most/all aps in the Android market?

Hi KiwiSpyGirl, If you go to www.huaweidevice.com
you can compare X3 to X5 specs.
I had a look and X3 is U8150 platform but is Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
X5 is U8800 platform and is Android 2.2 (Froyo).
X3 has Front face 3.2 mega pixel camera for Skype
X5 has 5 mega pixel camera only. It has Swype installed for keyboard and 3.8 Touch screen.
    X3 has Fast Boot option.
They should both handle Google Sky but the resolution on X5 will be better.
This link will give you a large selection of Free Apps to Download:Top Free in Apps - Android Market

    Hope this helps. Neil.
ps. "Words with Friends" requires Android 2.1 or higher so there shouldn't be any problem running that on either.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply I actually just went into the store and asked to test download the apps on that phone and it worked.

Although something says it works on android 2.x or higher sometimes there are other things preventing capability i.e the resolution as with the first Ideos,
